Play is really the work of childhood

Centre

We are proudly committed to creating aesthetically pleasing and sustainable environments in our centre. Our fresh water ponds, vegetable patch, garden arches, wormery and large variety of pets are examples of this.

Our centre’s rooms are both inviting and functional, enabling our program to run as smoothly as possible in a warm and comforting environment for your children.

Program

With four dedicated rooms catering from the ages of 6 months to 3.5 years, our qualified room leaders and assisting educators work seamlessly to ensure each child’s individual needs and interests are explored and promoted in all our programs across the centre.

Closely guided by the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF), our educators embed a sense of Being, Belonging & Becoming into the learning program, helping your child feel connected and a part of their world around them.

Transitional Kinder

Home to the first transitional kinder in the area, we are constantly innovating and finding ways to enhance your child’s learning experience.  To find out more about this unique and beneficial year, contact us here.

Natural Learning

We believe nature provides endless moments for learning and have built as many natural learning opportunities into our program calendar, and centre, as possible.

With 3 play areas across the centre, your children have ample opportunity to explore and utilise their growing sense of imagination in a stimulating and inviting environment.

Your child will also be exposed to wonderful , informal learning moments. From feeding the resident animals to observing their behaviours, our educators encourage positive interaction with our pets.

Our Garden to Kitchen program encourages children to take care of natural produce from seed to plate, through which they learn about sustainability and healthy eating.

Our Menu

Cooked fresh on site, our fantastic seasonal menu is designed with healthy meal options for morning tea, lunch and afternoon snack every day.

Incursions

We promote existing and emerging interests in our learners by incorporating external learning opportunities into our everyday program.

Weekly music sessions and Sportsbuzz programs extend upon your child’s regular learning and play while visits from the Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services and more serve to stimulate their questions and interest in how the world around them works.

Yoga

Our in-house Bal-Yoga program imported from the USA helps develop positive self-image in children through body awareness, flexibility, posture and strength. It encourages children to be mindful and increase their concentration through a fun, healthy movement program.

"We cannot thank the wonderful team at Gilly's enough for the amazing care and love you have shown our daughter over the last two years. Watching her blossom and grow under your guidance has been beautiful to witness."

Shira A

"After 2 children and 4 years at Gillys we are so sad to be completing our final year here. There aren’t enough adjectives to describe the staff- warm, friendly, loving and so caring. We can not recommend this centre enough!"

Tanya Shulman

"There is no feeling more comforting as a parent than the ability to walk away knowing that your child is in the best hands and care possible"

‘Gilly’s ELC emulates everything about ‘ Our home Your home’ - from the time you walk through their door in the morning to the end of the day. My kids have constantly been showered with unconditional love, care, play and learnings that we as parents will forever be grateful for. Gilly’s is an institution like no other that I’m so blessed to have been a part of for my children’s early learning years.
